Trondheim Junior Soloists in Serbia
On the 9th of April the string orkestra from Norway, Trondheim Junior Solist and the orchestra of the music school „Stankovic“ from Belgrade held a concert in IC Palilula. The concert was ceremonially opened with a welcoming speech by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Serbia Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg and by the representative of the music school “Stankovic” Cedomir Marijanović. The composer Aleksandar Vujic, whose composition was performed by the orchestra from Norway, also attended the concert.
During their stay in Serbia Tronheim Junior Soloist had three more performances in Zrenjanin, Sremski Karlovci and Stara Pazova. The leader of the orchestra is Sigmund Tvete Vik. The program of their visit to Serbia was designed so that they have a chance to get to know Belgrade and Vojvodina

The Trondheim Junior Soloists were founded in 2001 as a training orchestra for The Trondheim Soloists. The Junior Soloists exists of 18-20 young string talents from the age of 14 to 19. The musicians are recruited from music schools throughout the whole of Central-Norway. The Junior Soloists meet for projects – 4-5 during a year. The main aim is to learn how to work as a chamber musician on a high level, learn chamber orchestra repertoire and in general inspire the young talents. They have played concerts in Prague, London, Copenhagen and Tuscany as well as many concerts in Norway.
